The Masonic Youth Center is a private park that operates on charitable donations

Welcome to the out-of-doors and a piece of “Nature’s Beauty”. The Masonic Youth Foundation Inc. Youth Center at Buttonwoods is a 70-acre site located on the waters of Narragansett Bay. It is ideal for picnics, outings, and get-togethers. The Center is available during the summer months to all Masonic Groups, responsible community groups, Masonic Families, civic organizations, etc. We have shaded picnic groves, picnic tables, charcoal cookers, a covered pavilion as well as 2 softball fields, horseshoe pits, shuffleboard, basketball, tennis and beach volleyball courts, playground, 2 inground swimming pools 1 -40X80, and 1 20X20 kiddie wading pool. certified lifeguards are on duty when the pool is open. A snack bar is on-site serving hot dogs, hamburgers, Ice cream, candy, and drinks.

The park has been open since the 1950s. It is owned by the RI Grand Lodge of Masons and the RI Shriners. The RI Masonic Youth Foundation Inc. is the managing body of the center, they are responsible for the upkeep and usage of the facility.
